Global athletic leader New Balance has announced a multi-year title sponsorship arrangement with the English Schools Athletic Association for two of the organisation’s major competitions: the English Schools Cross Country Championships and the English Schools Track and Field Championships.
Commenting on the arrangement, Pete Riley, New Balance’s sports marketing manager, said: “We are proud to support an organisation that provides the competition structure for young British athletes to shine with Olympians and world class athletes coming through the English Schools’ championships.” The signing of this agreement also stands as a steadfast commitment to the ethos of grass roots athletics and reflects the values and the principles of the New Balance brand.”
In reply, Chris Cohen, honorary secretary of the English Schools Athletic Association, said: “The Association is extremely pleased to welcome New Balance as our sponsor in this significant arrangement. I believe working alongside a leading global athletics brand will provide a tremendous boost for young and aspiring athletic talent.”
The English Schools Athletic Association provides a competition structure for all school children from Year 7 to Year 13 at District, County, National and International level and an Award scheme for both primary and secondary age groups.
