Sport 2000 International MD resigns

sport 2000After one year as CEO and managing director of SPORT 2000 International, Harold J. Rubrech is resigning for personal reasons from the management of the specialist retailer syndicate.  As of now, the chairman of the SPORT 2000 International supervisory board Dr. Holger Schwarting and his deputy chairman Hans-Hermann Deters will take interim charge of the management. The supervisory board has already started searching for a successor.  Dr. Holger Schwarting, chairman of the supervisory board of SPORT 2000 International, said: “We thank Harold J. Rubrech for his short but very successful work at SPORT 2000 International.”

SPORT 2000 International is the second-largest buying cooperation of independent sports retailers in Europe with 3,855 stores in 24 countries and a total turnover of more than 6.355 bn euros in the year 2015. The sports retail company has over 35,000 employees.
