Uhlsport to launch charity glove

Football brand to launch glove to support testicular cancer charity

Uhlsport is launching a special glove that will see proceeds from sales go towards the early detection and treatment of testicular cancer.

Uhlsport is working with ‘It’s in the Bag’, a charity established by one of its sales agents Mike Morgan (pictured), who himself was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2009.

The “It’s in the Bag” campaign promotes the early recognition and treatment of testicular cancer and proceeds from the sale of the gloves will result in a charitable donation by Uhlsport to ‘It’s in the bag’, helping to ensure young men are made aware of the risks of testicular cancer and can get information and for sufferers to find help.

The ‘It’s in the Bag’ glove is based on Uhlsport’s Pro Comfort Textile Rollfinger series and has an RRP of £50.

Uhlsport’s work with ‘It’s in the Bag’ is the latest effort by the brand to support charitable programmes and follows its successful World Cup 2010 initiative whereby proceeds from the sale of the special edition World Cup gloves went to support aids orphans in South Africa.

Morgan said: “For a global brand such as Uhlsport to support not only myself, but more importantly the charity that I am involved with, at such a local level, reinforces my passion for the brand and my commitment to raising as much as we can from the sale of this product.”
