The Unicorn Eclipse HD TV Edition dartboard has been chosen to be used exclusively in a new gameshow to be shown on Sky 1.
One Hundred and Eighty will see world famous darts players team up with skilled members of the public to compete with each other for a big money prize.
The programme, featuring Davina McCall and Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff, will combine the drama of a sporting event with the excitement of a game show and will air to Sky customers in the UK and Ireland in September 2015.
Inspired by and named after the top score you can achieve on a dartboard, One Hundred and Eighty is made in collaboration with the PDC who will be providing all the pro darts players including the Unicorn sponsored current World Champion Gary Anderson, who will all be playing to determine a prize fund at the start of each show.
They will then be paired into teams with lucky members of the public who will compete for the chance to win the prize. In the team games the amateur competitors will all be using Unicorn’s Gary Anderson Black Brass darts with bespoke flights made by Unicorn featuring both One Hundred and Eighty and Unicorn Darts logos.
Unicorn MD Edward Lowy said: “One Hundred and Eighty is yet another exciting new darts programme by Sky. The Unicorn Eclipse is the board of choice for all televised PDC events on Sky Sports and we are delighted to work with the PDC to support this new programme.”
