Zoggs partners Aspire Channel Swim

Swim brand becomes official corporate partner for charity challenge

Zoggs has announced itself as the official corporate partner for the 2011 Aspire Channel Swim challenge.

The Aspire Channel Swim challenges people to swim the 22-mile distance required to swim the channel but over a period of 12 weeks in their local pool.

Now in its 13th year, the Aspire Channel Swim has raised £3m for Aspire, a charity dedicated to supporting people with spinal cord injury.

Zoggs UK marketing manager David Annand said: “We have a great passion for swimming, believing it to be one of life’s great pleasures.

“We are extremely proud to be partnering the Aspire Channel Swim in 2011 and encourage everyone, whatever age or ability, to take part in this great opportunity and raise much needed funds for those living with spinal injuries.

“Every member of staff at our head office has been inspired by the extraordinary team at Aspire to give this a go so we’re truly getting involved in this great challenge and urge others to do the same.”

Aspire director of fundraising and marketing Chris Field said: “It is fantastic to have Zoggs on board.  With their support, we hope that even more people will sign up for the 2011 Aspire Channel Swim, raising money which will help even more people with spinal cord injuries enjoy independence.”
