New offices are designed to allow opportunity for growth
The new offices of the Warringtonbased UK headquarters of international performance footwear and apparel manufacturer ASICS, were officially opened last month by Mayoress Linda Dirri, together with a host of local sports stars.
The company, which has been operating from its UK headquarters since 1993, has undertaken the £1 million expansion to accommodate its significant growth in staff numbers and enable the company to better showcase its range of ASICS sportswear and Onitsuka Tiger fashionwear to retailers.
St.Helens rugby league fullback Paul Wellens along with Sale Sharks rugby star Andy Titterrell, and ASICS' suppliers and staff joined Mayoress Dirri and her consort. “We're delighted to take our Warrington offices to the next level,” ASICS managing director, Ryoji Sekito told those in attendance.
Sekito added: “We've grown from 23 staff in early 2003 to 60 staff by the end of 2006 - this kind of growth requires us to extensively expand the premises to enable our staff to work comfortably and effectively.
“ASICS has been part of the local business community for the past 13 years, developing lasting ties with the area and strong relationships with local suppliers. We take great pride in continuing that legacy into the future”.
