ISM appoints new chief executive
International Sports Marketing, the international firm of specialist headhunters, is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Peters as chief executive from 1 March 2007.Andrew Peters is 53 and has been in the Sporting Goods industry for 30 years.He joins ISM from Puma, where he was UK managing director for the past fifteen years.
Prior to that, he was buying and merchandise director of Champion Sport retail, part of the Burton Group, for ten years and before that senior project manager with Slazenger.He was originally trained as an FMCG sales representative with Bowater Scott. Ted Ivens, who was one of the founders of ISM in 1986 and is the current CEO, will become chairman and will continue to work closely with Andrew.
Ted said: “We warmly welcome Andrew to ISM.His lifetime of experience in the industry and his considerable network of contacts will be a great asset to ISM and all ISM clients.He is an exceptional businessman and has made an outstanding success of every job he has ever had with Brands and Retail. ISM is now 21 years old and we very much look forward to Andrew leading ISM through the next phase of our evolution. Andrew's appointment will also allow me to spend more time with Sports Brokers, which continues to expand globally with a significant Client base.”
