Our decision to incorporate SGB Outdoor into SGB UK has gone down a storm, with lots of positive feedback coming from sports and outdoor retailers and manufacturers. We also have top outdoor journalist, Tom Hutton back on board. He offers advice to all wannabe hikers (see Hot to trot).

As a team we have also been conscious of the need to ‘think outside the box’ when discussing what affects the industry. This month I report on the growing problem of obesity, the ramifications of which for the next generation are truly horrifying (see Super sizing the obesity issue).
