VCCP sponsors Anil Kumble
Indian Cricket star Anil Kumble, renowned spin bowler and third highest test wicket taker of all time is being sponsored by advertising agency Vallance Carruthers Coleman Priest (VCCP).His recent first-ever Test century was hit using the VCCP sponsored bat.
Kumble's bat now carries the VCCP roundel logo at its base and the deal includes the cricketer donating a certain number of personal appearances and training sessions to the London County Cricket Club (LCCC), which is an organisation set up to search for future cricketing stars in the UK.
In connection with the LCCC he will be part of the mentoring programme and ambassadorial team. The LCCC was launched a few years ago with advertising support from VCCP. Ian Priest, Founding Partner of VCCP said: "We were actively seeking a cricketer with his attributes and credentials to commit time and effort to supporting the future of British cricket and the LCCC's 'Search for a Star' programme, in particular. He was a natural choice and we are delighted to be sponsoring him."
Kumble said: "I am truly honoured to be part of the LCCC's programme through VCCP's generous support. I will continue to work hard to promote cricket and to search for future stars of the game."
Kumble has amassed 565 test wickets and 371 oneday wickets so far in his cricket career.
