Clean Strike aims to clean up

Out of Europe’s leading golf trade exhibition – Golf Europe 2007 in Munich – came a new idea that the makers claim will change the face of kit maintenance across virtually all sports.

CleanStrike’s club-cleaning product comes in a 50-wipe re-sealable tub that simply cleans golf clubs. It gets soil and grass out of grooves on the club face, cleans along the length of the shaft and absorbs grit out of grips – all with just a wipe.

Following hard on the launch of the extraordinary golf club wipes, CleanStrike has already enhanced its offering to the sports industry with the Sport Shoe, Boot and Sport Bag Wipes.

The golf club wipes proved immediately appealing to the trade and to golfers alike. With the shoe and boot wipe, however, the brand’s enhanced product offering will take them into other sports such as football, rugby, cricket, hockey, athletics, equestrian and – in their native Ireland – hurling.

Both the club and shoe wipes share several characteristics in that they’re made of wood fibre, completely bio-degradable and so ultimately eco-friendly. However, due to the fact that each is required to perform slightly different tasks, the golf club cleaner is a quick dryfinish for metal and synthetic gripping surfaces, whereas the shoe & boot wipe is designed to leave more waxy finish that makes cleaning material such as leather easier and quicker with prolonged usage. When dry, the boot wipe has a matt lustre, but can be quickly buffed to a shine if required.
