ispo: 27 – 30 January 2008
The UK continues its renewed love affair with the ispo trade shows, with the number of retail visitors increasing steadily as Brits recognise the quality, direction and sheer inspiration to be gained. The shows have moved with the times, thoroughly reflecting the modern business arena – embracing the fusion between function, fashion, sporting heritage, sporty style.
The separate communities within the show, each with their independent vibe, maximise the focus of any visit – ski, board, athletics, outdoor, teamsports and style all have their own powerful show zones. It is a concept that is clearly working, particularly for the UK, where the ispo energy, now combined with favourable travel costs encouraged a 20% visitor increase for spring 07 (2098 UK visitors) in comparison to the previous year.
More than 2,000 exhibitors from over 40 countries will take part in ispo Winter 2008. The superb at show events and features continue to make networking productive and pleasurable and to highlight products in an unequalled way. The boardsports sector is already buzzing, particularly with the addition of the new Metropolis section. This arts-inspired area is designed to bring the true spirit of the sports and culture to the forefront, with some of the most edgy and inspired names on display. A total fusion of product, music and individuality. Buying into set size units at special all-inclusive rates makes Metropolis even more attractive for this sector.
The Boardsports Awards will be taking place for the second time this spring, with competition already starting to hot up. After the success of the inaugural event, the kudos attached to these awards has grown – so if you want to know who wins, be there!
