As the world’s largest rugby brand it is no surprise that Canterbury of New Zealand’s 2008 range of rugby product continues to set the standards both on and off the pitch.

The wide range incorporates head gear, shoulder pads and vests, grip mitts, mouth guards, balls, bags, footwear and accessories. Endorsed by leading players at this year’s Rugby World Cup, including South Africa’s flying winger Bryan Habana and England prop Andrew Sheridan, Canterbury continue to produce the ultimate in rugby equipment.

Canterbury has produced a stylish range of boots for the 2007/2008 season including the new Wero Elite boot (£60), made out of top quality Nappa leather. Features include an external strapping system for maximum support and a hydrophobic non-absorbent mesh lining. This offers fantastic looks and superb cushioning, as well as being lightweight and durable.

Canterbury’s Jetstream headgear (£55) is designed using the Venturi air channelling system, more commonly used in cycling helmets, which helps to cool a players head significantly during games. Ultra-lightweight, closed cell foam, makes the headgear flexible and breathable. There is also a softened chin strap for additional comfort.

A new addition this season is the Sticky Leather Grip Mitt (£20), designed for rugby players at all levels of the game. The hydrophobic material provides a natural fit and Canterbury grip technology on the palm enables maximum grip. An elastic wristband aids comfort and the soft fabric area on the back of the hand allows players to wipe away sweat during the heat of the moment.

The Cold Flexitop Plus (£70) is the ultimate in shoulder vests combined with the BaseLayer cold technology – warn by top international, Super 14, club and provincial players to keep warm during the winter months. Flexible honeycomb padding on the shoulders allows for freedom on movement, improved breathability and maximum protection. The armourflite Club Ball (£20) completes the range and offers a superior rubber and multi-laminated surface for improved grip during training, combined with a unique ‘valve-in-seam’ set up with counter balance for a truer flight off the boot.
