A host of new exhibitors will be at BETA International 2008, bringing with them fresh ideas to inspire visiting retailers.

Leading manufacturers and distributors will also be introducing new products at the three-day trade exhibition at the NEC, Birmingham on 17-19 February.

BETA International debutants MacSport Group will be using water-filled goldfish bowls and reins to demonstrate the Aquatec technology behind its MacWet gloves.

“We want retailers to come and try the gloves for themselves, so that they can feel how they maintain maximum grip even in wet conditions,” said marketing manager Heather Clapton.

American company ThinLine brings its saddle pads and horse boots to BETA International 2008 for the first time. Developed with open cell technology used in marathon running insoles, superior shock absorption plus non-slip, breathable and anti-fungal properties are this brand’s main features.

“We are excited to be able to take this new technology to Europe and we hope BETA International will be the vehicle to get it done,” said ThinLine president Elaine Lockhead. “We will be seeking both retail shops and distributors throughout Europe.”

Nottinghamshire, UK based Tagg Clothing Company returns to the NEC, Birmingham in February after a three-year gap.

“We want to meet small saddlery retailers because we’re tailor-made for them,” said Clive Davies, managing director of Premier Equine International, speaking about the company’s BETA International debut. Retailers visiting BETA International 2008 can find out more about being supplied by this rugs and horse boots specialist on a “cash and carry” basis with no minimum orders.

BETA International has a strong tradition of encouraging innovation in the equestrian, outdoor, country and pet product markets. New launches can be seen at the Kenilworth Press New Product Gallery, while the winners of the BETA International 2008 Innovation Awards will be announced during the exhibition.

Many buyers find it fruitful to explore the exhibition’s NewZone where new and emerging companies can be found.

“Such is the variety and scale of new products and new exhibitors at BETA International that many retail and wholesale buyers find it’s essential to spend at least two days at the exhibition,” said Claire Thomas, commercial manager of BETA International organiser EMC.

BETA International 2008 takes place on 17-19 February at the NEC, Birmingham. Organiser EMC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the BETA Group. For more details, contact Lizzy Warrington at BETA International on +44 1937 582111 or visit www.beta-int.com.
