New Balance continues NBX series for SS 2008
Following its launch in AW2007,New Balance is launching the second phase of the NBX series for SS 2008. NBX is the hallmark for the very best running shoes from New Balance that are designed and engineered by the NBX development team.
Essentially a micro company within New Balance, the NBX team are totally focused on pioneering performance and work on longer development schedules to ensure that new technologies, materials and construction meet the robust and rigorous testing procedures necessary for a shoe to receive the NBX logo.

The collection offers ranges of cushioned, stability, motion control, trail and competition shoes to suit the needs of all running types. All NBX shoes now come with Lightning Dry and Phantom Seam technologies which give an instant appeal when placed on the foot. Lightning Dry wicks away perspiration whilst Phantom Seam enables us to create a feeling of harmony between foot and shoe. All NBX shoes now come with an Abzorb strobel sock for enhanced cushioning and great first, fit and feel.

NBX Cushioning 1062
The 1062 follows in the footsteps of the 1061 which has proved to be one of the best selling cushioned shoes New Balance has had to offer in Europe. Being cautious not to fix what isn't broken, the midsole has been slimmed down slightly to reduce the weight and increase the response of the shoe.
The Abzorb DTS system in the heel is the main crux of the technology, offering shock attenuation on initial impact through the absorb crash pad and then enhanced propulsion through the gait cycle with the SBS unit. Technically there have only been minor tweaks made to the shoe. This will help offer our runners consistency in our product development.
As with all the shoes in our NBX range we now offer Lightning Dry and Phantom Seam technologies which give an instant appeal when placed on the foot. Lightning Dry wicks away perspiration whilst Phantom Seam enables us to create a feeling of harmony between foot and shoe.

NBX Supportive Cushioning 768
The 767 has become a significant player in the supportive cushioning running category across all of EMEA. Its versatility holds the key to its enduring success. It is capable of dealing with most runner's needs with precise control and excellent cushioning.
With the 768 we aim to take this product to the next level. The shoe has enhanced levels of Abzorb in both heel and forefoot and is also equipped with a medially extended TS2 Post. The rearfoot complex still aims to reduce the risk of excessive pronation at initial heel strike by compressing quickly on the lateral side and gearing the foot up for the control of the medial support.
Technical enhancements include:
- Increased Abzorb in heel and forefoot.
- More stable rearfoot complex due to medial push out of TS2 posting.
- Lightning dry collar and tongue linings.
- Phantom lining system that provides silky smooth seamless comfort next to your foot.
- Full Length perforated Abzorb strobel last.
