Following last year’s successful premiere this successful forum now covers 1,700 square meters in the heart of hall A6 with a programme that includes:

  • SkiYo – feel the fl ow: Sonnia Höffken, passionate ski coach and experienced yoga instructor presents her trend sport “SkiYo – feel the flow“ (skiing & yoga).
  • Wearable Technologies: Christian Stammel (CEO of ispo partner Navispace) provides a realistic evaluation of the quickly growing market for integrated sportswear.
  • Trailrunning: High profile panel discussion on the new running trend – on drive, revenue potential, and future prospects for retail.
  • Fair means everything – more revenue from sustainable products: Expert panel discussion on sustainably produced brands and opportunities for retailers.

ispo Outdoor Award
This international award will be presented to the best products in eight categories: Apparel, Footwear, Hardware, Nordic Fitness, as well as Adventure & Travel, Technology & Electronics, and Backcountry.

VOLVO SportsDesign AWARD
ispo winter 08 will host the 4th Volvo SportsDesign AWARD, one of the most coveted honours of its kind. This year, in addition to innovation, the winner will be the product that meets classic product development criteria (economy, safety, dependability, ergonomics, technical solutions and aesthetics) and also satisfies certain ecological objectives. “EcoDesign” is a systematic process, which integrates ecological aspects into the early stages of product planning, development, and design.

The VOLVO SportsDesign AWARD 2008 is presented in the categories Ski Equipment, Board Equipment, Outdoor Equipment, Apparel, Wheelers, Accessories, and in a new category, Material Technology/Radical Solution.

DAV bouldercup
Exciting competitions among Bouldering elite, Bouldering Workshops – ispo and the DAV present three days of the best of climbing:

SUNDAY: German Boulder Cup (all day); DAV booth
MONDAY: Bouldering workshops and sweepstakes; DAV booth
WEDNESDAY: Münchener Schülercup (competition for Munich’sstudents); national association and schools; DAV booth


outdoor rocks!

It’s not all change at ispo winter outdoor – in true show tradition the legendary industry party takes place at 6pm on Sunday night. The Outdoor Get-Together, sponsored by Polartec, will take place in the East Entrance where along with food and drink visitors will enjoy musical favourites from a superb cover band.

There will also be highlights from the Kendal Mountain Festival – a television action sports feature packed with athletic peak performances. Tickets will available at the exhibitor service office, at the snow ice & rock summit and in the hall passages, at 10 Euro per person including food and drink.
