Highlander awarded ISO 9001-2000
Following an assessment by an independent body, Highlander has been awarded ISO-9001-2000 certification. This certification has only been achieved by about five per cent of UK businesses and this prestigious award is supported by the government and recognized worldwide.
Baram Golzari, Managing Director of Highlander Scotland Ltd said: “We are delighted to have attained our ISO certification. We worked with the assessor to improve our existing procedures and found that we’d already laid most of the groundwork for the certification. It represents a expert external recognition of Highlander’s constant drive for continual improvement in quality assurance and customer satisfaction.”
“Although we have been selling to the Outdoor and Military markets for over 20 years, Highlander has seen a period of rapid growth and expansion over the last three years. Our move to a new five-acre site with 80,000 square foot distribution warehouse was the first step. Utilizing the latest product handling and order processing machinery has allowed us to improve efficiency and reduce the time it takes to process an order.”
Simon Parker, the lead assessor who undertook the assessment for QMS Quality Management Systems paid particular tribute to the investment in people and training that enables Highlander to provide an efficient service to their customers.
