Granger's International gains bluesign accreditation
Granger's International has joined an exclusive environmental club by achieving product certification under the bluesign standard.
The bluesign standard is the world's only benchmark that guarantees products are free from harmful substances. Based in Switzerland, the independent bluesign organisation was set up to meet the demand for rating products that are environmentally friendly, pose no health hazards and conserve resources to the greatest possible extent. Existing supporters and partners with bluesign include Patagonia, EMS, Nike, Vaude, M&S & Schoeller fabrics.
Granger's is continuing its drive to develop technologies that identify with its commitment to environmental responsibility. All wash-in cleaning and proofing products now maximise efficiency in a 30-degree wash cycle, while their latest ‘2 in 1' product achieves both in one wash, saving even more energy.
"The bluesign certification underlines our commitment," said Karolina Jones, Managing Director at Granger's. "It means we can absolutely guarantee our customers and consumers that we have excluded any chemical substances and processes that could be hazardous to people and the environment. In addition, by converting production to the bluesign standard Granger's will further reduce CO2 emissions and energy consumption".
"Granger's is an ideal bluesign supporter because their product lines meet all aspects of the bluesign standard. They are proof that high-tech and functional textiles and sustainability are by no means exclusive. In fact, today they go hand in hand," concluded Peter Waeber, CEO of bluesign technologies ag.
