Featherstone Rovers RLFC are sporting a new look and kit by teaming-up with Yorkshire firm Prostar, one of the UK's leading team sportswear brands.

The deal marks a fresh look for the newly promoted Featherstone and also a new venture within the rugby teamwear market for Prostar, which has previously established itself as one of the country's leading football team and training wear brands.

The new shirts have been designed to provide a contemporary style while maintaining the club's butcher's stripe tradition. Prostar will also be supplying shorts, socks and training wear as part of their support for the club.

The shirts have been specially designed to withstand the rigours of the rugby game featuring a double-stitched highly durable material.

For Featherstone the shirt marks its arrival into Rugby League's National League1 following the club's success in last season's play-offs.

The shirts, which were unveiled on 17th December, are on general sale in the run-up to Christmas from the club shop and at the Shindigz store in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, priced £30 for children and £40 for adults.

Commenting on their new tie-up with Prostar Andrew McNeill, Vice Chair of Featherstone RLFC said: "We have long-term ambitions to be in Super League and this link-up with one of the country's leading teamwear brands is a further sign of our aspirations."

Shane Bray, Sales and Marketing Director at Prostar added: "The Featherstone name is synonymous with Rugby League. As one of the biggest names in grassroots football, we're delighted to mark our first venture into rugby teamwear with Featherstone Rovers. The club also have close links in the grass roots game where we aim to be a major brand. "
