This number includes also the business with Bjørn Dæhlie, whose licence was given back to the eponym by the end of the year. Odlo values the stable turnover in a positive sense because of the past difficult winter, which had a negative impact on their cross-country skiing business, a very important market for Odlo. The deficits in the Nordic sector could be compensated by the summer business.

The worldwide decreases of alpine skis are very painful: their volume reduced supposedly from 4.6 million pairs (2005/06) down to 4 million pairs (2006/07) and at the moment down to 3.4 million pairs. More dramatic is the situation of cross-country skis: 1.9 million pairs in 2005/06, 1.2 million pairs in 2006/07 and 1.4 million pairs this winter season.
