No stiffness in my Skins
Published:
07 March, 2008

Skins, in support of my London Marathon attempt later this year, have supplied a pair of half tights, a short-sleeve top, long tights and travel/recovery tights to aid my efforts. After just a few uses, I'm completely sold on their value and usefulness. If a keen amateur can get such satisfaction from a product, goodness knows what benefits there are for top athletes.

Recently, I started running again after picking up an injury during a race in December. As with most runners, restarting after injury - and with a major race coming - holds some fear and I expected stiffness and pain, as experience taught me.

I've used the long tights as recovery aids, so after working out and running, I clean up and put them on for a few hours to help blood flow to the major muscle groups. After some hamstring problems in recent months, I thought they might help; they most certainly did. For the first time in what seems like an age, I can work out hard and only suffer minimal stiffness or muscle soreness in the following days - and the only change to my routine is using Skins.

If you're not stocking this gear, you should seriously consider it. Frankly, I'm in love with this gear, and I cannot recommend Skins highly enough.
