New venue for STAG show, and more
This year's STAG Buying Show will be held at a brand new venue. The buying show, with it's enviable reputation as the place where business is done, will take place over the 23rd and 24th November at the Four Pillars Hotel - Cotswold Water Park. The new venue boasts an open plan exhibition space set over two floors.
Meanwhile, the buying group has announced positive growth figures despite constant reports of an economic downturn, with a 20 per cent increase in growth over the last 12 months.
Managing Director Ricky Chandler says: "These are challenging times in the retail industry right now, and we believe these results illustrate the importance of what we are offering our members. STAG is helping the Independent retailer not only survive the current climate but seize new opportunities and increase profits".
Leading Brands represented by STAG have also seen their business increase with up to 80 per cent of the 170 brands seeing a rise in turnover with STAG members.
January saw seven new members join the group. Ward Robertson, Managing Director of STAG Buying Group, said: "We've had an incredibly successful past 12 months set against the market trend. More and more Independent retailers are acknowledging the benefits of being part of STAG."
The seven new members have retail outlets throughout the UK and represent a diverse range of retailers with Sport and Outdoor being the most prominent sectors. The businesses will benefit from membership of the UK's largest Sports Buying Group with ongoing support and exclusive offers from the UK's leading brands.
