Scarpa introduces Cristallo

The world has been waiting for the Pro-Ascent replacement from Scarpa and here at last is the Cristallo. This boot is aimed at the technical scrambling and Via-Ferrata market and is also ideally suited for hill, mountain and glacier walking.

The extremely popular Mescalito and Pro-Ascent set new standards and became the defining point for the current modern generation of specialised footwear. Scarpa took all the best characteristics of these boots and combined them with highly advanced new technologies to produce the Cristallo.

The uppers are made from Pro-Tech suede with a pro fibre midsole for extra support and a very generous rubber rand for added protection. It has a Vibram Mulatz sole with an integrated climbing zone and a Gore-Tex lining.

The Cristallo has a crampon rating of B1 and can be worn with the Grivel G10 or Air Tech New Classic crampons.

There is a woman's model also available with all the same technologies as the men's but in a fit more suited to women's feet. Both models come in bright spring colours - silver/lemon for men and silver /fresh blue for women.

Cristallo - RRP - £149.99
