AMG expands team to drive forward growth

AMG Group continues to grow its sales and marketing departments with the appointment of five new recruits, adding to its ever-expanding workforce. To meet increasing sales demands, Phill Cook, Andy Parish and Mickey Rossall have been brought on board to join the AMG Sales Division, taking up the posts of Territory Manager.

Phill joins the team bringing with him over ten years of outdoor sales experience, and is responsible for the South West and South Wales area, on his new appointment he commented: "I look forward to giving AMG's customers a service that they can rely and depend upon to the benefit of all."

Taking responsibility for the North and Midlands regions, Mickey Rossall is perfectly positioned for his new role having previously worked with brands such as Quiksilver, Tenson, Columbia Sportswear and Smartwool.

Andy Parish will also be taking up a third Territory Manager position, working on outdoor and snow brands and is responsible for the South East of England area. Andy has a background in ski Instruction and joins AMG Group from Lockwoods where he was a Ski Hardware Manager. Andy Comments: “I am delighted to form part of the AMG team and I’m sure my background in Ski will be put to good use.”

AMG’s Marketing Department is also changing since Alastair Moodie, the Director of Marketing moved to the newly formed services division. Responsibility for AMG groups marketing division will now be headed up by Sharon Aitken, Marketing Manager of AMG Outdoor and Snow Brands.

With over eight years of marketing management experience in industries as diverse as road and rail transport, healthy foods and drinks and IT, Sharon joined AMG group to take up her position at the end of 2007. She has now been awarded the ultimate task of moving AMG brands forward from a marketing perspective.

Combining her passion and love for the outdoors with her knowledge and understanding of marketing, Sharon will be taking on responsibility for the growth and development of the division. Sharon commented: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to drive the marketing of the AMG brands portfolio forward, working in partnership with retailers and developing meaningful communications with our consumers.”

The marketing team has already seen a significant growth and has recently added two new faces to the team. Adelle Hopkins has been appointed as Marketing Administrator, providing much need support to the team from an administrative perspective and Will Arneil has been appointed as a Graphic Designer where he will assist the continued effort to drive the brands forward visually through its marketing materials and design.
