PUMA boot debuts at Euros
Following the successful launch of the new v1.08 Collection in January at the Africa Cup of Nations, PUMA introduces its latest v1.08 design, highlighted by a X-ray version of PUMA's leaping cat logo on footwear, apparel and accessories. Launching in time for this summer's 2008 European Championships, the new v1.08 design will be worn by PUMA stars at Euro 2008, including Nicolas Anelka (France), Mario Gomez (Germany), Freddie Ljungberg (Sweden), Alex Frei (Switzerland), Gianluigi Buffon (Italy) and Mauro Camoranesi (Italy).
Along with the X-ray logo, the new line also features vibrant color touches and creative details that are uniquely PUMA and allow you to 'show your inside on the outside'. The new v1.08 boot features an X-ray skeleton PUMA cat logo on the medial side of the boot and the skeletal outline of the foot on the insole. A striking electric blue colorway makes the boot stand out from the rest as well as the 'brain' pattern on the shoe's microfibre upper.
Other products like the PUMA v1.08 ball and training shirt also feature the X-ray PUMA leaping cat logo. Similar to the boot, details on the apparel and accessories include graphic references to the inside of the human anatomy with subtle messages related to football incorporated in the graphics, once again proving that with PUMA's passion for the game, its okay to show your insides on the outside.
The new line will be supported by a new version of PUMA's popular 'Until Then' ad campaign. The creative will be launched worldwide in print, outdoor, online and instore executions and will include PUMA's top stars.
