The Saucony ProGrid Triumph 5 was named Best Shoe at the recent Runner's World UK annual awards ceremony. Seeing off competition from the Mizuno Wave Rider and the Nike Pegasus, the Triumph 5 took the award at the ceremony held at the Imperial War Museum in London. The event forms part of the Annual Personal Best Awards, which recognises outstanding products, races and companies throughout the industry.
The RW Best Shoe Award is acknowledged within the industry as the most important shoe credit available to the UK market. As the biggest selling running magazine in the UK, Runner's World has a global reputation as the "Runner's Bible". The awards are made based on the judgement of RW staff writers, industry experts and customer feedback provided by the members of the Runner's World website.
The ProGrid Triumph 5 - which has an RRP of £85 - had previously been awarded "Editor's Choice" in the Runner's World Spring 2008 shoe guide and also "Best Buy" in the Sunday Times "in Gear" section.
