Reynolds acquires Impsport
Specialist sports clothing company Impsport has been snapped up by Reynolds Sports for an undisclosed sum. Impsport produces custom made sports clothing, event signage, numbers, printing and embroidery for leisurewear. In 2007 the business generated £1.1million of turnover, with 75 per cent generated through custom-made sports clothing for cycling, triathlon and running. Turnover in 2008 is already up by 8 per cent with sales expected to continue to grow. The business employs 32 staff based at its manufacturing and operations premises in Lincoln.
Impsport will be moving to premises already owned by Reynolds Sports, five miles from their existing location. All 32 staff will be retained and manufacturing will continue as normal with minimal interruption due to the short distance relocation.
Reynolds Sports specialises in the supply of sports equipment, teamwear and leisurewear and currently holds a number of international and national brand licensing agreements.
Tim Pearce of Reynolds Sports said: "Impsport is a great addition for Reynolds Sports. The acquisition allows us to keep the manufacture of high quality sports product in the UK using experienced quality staff employed within a dynamic and growing multi-faceted business."
