Ball specialists Molten have stepped in at the eleventh hour as title sponsor of the East Kent Youth Football League following Parker Steel's decision to withdraw its support. From September 2008 the League is to be called the Molten East Kent Youth Football League and the agreement is to run for the next three years, up until 2011.
The Molten East Kent Youth Football League is one of the biggest youth leagues in the UK. It operates over 400 teams across all age groups throughout the county, totalling 6,000 or more young children playing competitive football each week, and involving 800 coaches and 800 managers.
Molten's sponsorship is a mix of funds and footballs. As well as providing a substantial amount of cash to assist with the League's administration, Molten is also to give every team in the League a free Molten match ball. In return all Molten East Kent Youth Football League competitive matches must be played with a Molten ball from the start of the new season in September 2008.
