Outdoor ispo - putting international communities on the map

Ispo's outdoor community enjoyed one of the most successful shows on record in 2008 confirming its place as the undisputed winter business platform for the industry. Encouraged by Munich's ease of access and the professional, authentic presentation of the sector, brands continued to increase their presence and outdoor ispo doubled in size to four vast halls within the main show.

The Scandinavian Village developed with the S.O.G. (Scandinavian Outdoor Group) thoroughly capturing the spotlight in terms of both export potential and co-exhibitor interest and as a result of feedback, the ispo outdoor team are working with UK partners to help create a similarly dynamic exhibition community for future shows. A small "village" area will be introduced in 2009 to start this initiative and offer the OIA and other UK/Irish companies the opportunity to highlight their outdoor heritage and improve brand exposure. The group will be located in Hall B5 alongside many of the key UK outdoor brands in order to maintain a community spirit and enhance UK retail access.

2009 is already a sell-out success and outdoor visitors will again be treated to the vibrant atmosphere created by ispo's specialist outdoor team, who have once again introduced features such as the popular Outdoor Awards and the now-legendary industry party.
