Fowler joins Berghaus climbing team
Mick Fowler has joined the Berghaus team of sponsored climbers; he was once described by the Observer as the "mountaineers' mountaineer" and has been a leading climbing adventurer for over 30 years. He is currently testing some of the latest Berghaus kit on an expedition to the unclimbed west face of Vasuki Parbat in the Himalaya.
Sir Chris Bonington, Berghaus chairman, said: "I'm absolutely delighted that Mick has joined the Berghaus Team.Quite apart from him being a good friend, I believe that he is one of the best, if not the best, adventure mountaineers of all time.Mick is also a great team person, so I look forward to fitting in some fun climbs with him, all in the line of duty of course."
Fowler does all of his climbing during holidays from his career in the UK tax office, where he currently holds the position of Assistant Director of Shares and Assets Valuation.
