Outdoor Gyms take off...
The Great Outdoor Gym Company, market leader in outdoor gym equipment and design of fitness installations, recently celebrated the launch of five innovative fitness spaces in London. The spaces called ‘adizones' have been sponsored by adidas in a partnership deal orchestrated by The Great Outdoor Gym Company as part of their commitment to raising private sector financing for public leisure sites.
The first adiZone opened on 11 September in Mile End Park North, Wennington Green, Tower Hamlets with a special launch attended by Olympic star and East London local Christine Ohuruogu.
Further sites will open in the next few months situated in the other 2012 Olympic host boroughs of Newham, Waltham Forest, Greenwich and Hackney.
The Great Outdoor Gym Company was commissioned by adidas UK to assist in their mission to get more young people into sport and physical activity as part of their sponsorship for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
