brasher celebrates best month to date
Despite the current economic climate, brasher is one footwear manufacturer who is bucking the retail trend after announcing a record sales month for September 2008.
With September sales up a staggering 87% compared to the same month last year, this is the strongest month's sales the company has ever experienced in its 30-year history and has helped deliver an overall Q3 growth of 32%. On year-to-date sales, brasher is experiencing a like-for-like growth rate of 12%.
Managing Director Andy Loeber commented: "In the testing economic climate, it is rewarding to see that we are driving the brasher brand to a broader consumer base. Our objective is to excel in all areas of product development, marketing and customer service, and our dedication to supply solutions to the specific UK consumer needs is gaining brasher a significant edge."
The company is not resting on its laurels, however, as brasher has announced an in-store merchandising and advertising campaign which will promote its excellent socks for the first time.
Due to be launched in March 2009, the sock-focused advertising will appear in specialist titles such as TGO, Country Walking, Trail and Adventure Travel. Third page adverts will communicate both the technical and comfort messages, with focus on new products such as the Wool Ultra Socks, which provides significant benefits such as 30% less friction and faster drying than standard yarn socks.
To complement the advertising campaign, brasher will also include leaflets in its footwear boxes, informing footwear consumers about its sock range, maximising cross selling potential.
Retailers will benefit from an interactive sock display box and an eye-catching, freestanding double-sided stand.
