The European super show promises much in its 69th outing, which takes place from February 1-4 next year. The show's organisers are saying on the official web site - www.ispo-winter.com - that exhibition space is sold out at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre, and they are expecting a record turnout in terms of visitor numbers.

Tobias Gröber, head of the ispo group, said: "We are really enthusiastic about the current registration status. We consider this development as trend-setting, and it shows a great amount of market acknowledgement and acceptance of our concept."

The show comprises six different areas: ski, outdoor, board, performance, innovations, and style. Each area has a lot to offer visitors, with demonstrations taking place in some areas, awards, and a whole lot more.

The performance area is most relevant to the sports retailer; running, triathlon, fitness, teamsports an racket sports are an essential part of the sporting goods market and they are collectively exhibited at performance_ispo to meet the demands of multi sports suppliers and manufacturers as well as the corresponding retail businesses. This section of ispo is a hot spot for all athletic equipment, footwear, functional apparel, and accessories. The specialized triathlon village additionally offers everything for the biking and swimming disciplines to complete the range of 'fast forward' products.

ispo occupies 17 exhibition halls - so be sure to wear comfortable shoes - over 180,000 square metres of exhibition space and 360,000 square metres of outdoor exhibition space. Be sure to get your hands on one of the comprehensive guides available when you arrive at the show, as they are clearly laid out and provide all necessary information to help you get around.

ispo also announced earlier this year an alliance with the Metro Ski & Snowboard Show, the annual event in London. An exhibitor attendance comprising more than 200 companies from all aspects of the ski and snowboarding world forms the basis of the communications partnership, which saw The Metro Ski & Snowboard Show exhibit for the first time at ispo winter 2008.

The Metro Show is regarded as the start of the winter season, and this year's show saw the official opening night party sponsored by ispo back in October. It also gave guests - many of which are key players in winter sports retail and manufacturing or distribution - the chance to find out more about ispo winter 09.

For speed and convenience, all ispo visitors can order their tickets for the show online and get benefits and discounts by going to www.ispo-winter.com and following the link on the left menus to 'tickets and registration'. Ordering is quick and easy, and pre-registration means you'll avoid queues on arrival. Also, tickets ordered before December 14th will receive a discount of up to 75 per cent, depending on the type of ticket. The ticket price includes a show catalogue and complimentary transportation.

Once tickets are ordered online, you get an online ticket voucher which you exchange for an access ticket at the show.
