EPIC by Nectex is unique - wind- and rain-proof, breathable and air permeable. "With our process we can encapsulate virtually any woven fabric in a light but permanent silicon polymer which is recyclable as well."
The latest EPIC developments in silicon polymer technology have ensured that EPIC performance is taken to another level. The EPIC process wraps the fibres inside the fabric, the yarns are encapsulated and the air spaces filled with silicone. The face of the fabric is left exposed keeping the original touch and look - the process even strengthens the fabric!
EPIC delivers this unique all weather performance to a huge range of woven fabrics from cotton to silk, linen to wool, polyester to nylon, viscose to poly/cotton, - even stretch fabrics retain their original elasticity. With the EPIC process, the makers say they can deliver all-weather-proof denim for jeans that can climb the hills then go straight out to the bar!
EPIC are targeting the sports and high specification work clothing markets and will launch at ispo BrandNew village in Munich and OR Winter Market in Salt Lake City 2009. Later in the year they will add two Workwear exhibitions to their marketing schedule: The Clean Show in US and A+A in Dusseldorf next November.
