Prince enjoys junior success
Following in the success of the brand's trail-blazing senior squash players like Nicol David and James Willstrop, Prince is celebrating success in the British Junior Championships in London and Belgian Junior Open in Brussels.
Charles Sharpes recently won the Men's British Under-17 title. The 16-year-old Englishman from Surrey, a runner-up in the British U-13 Championship four years ago, was second seed in the event.
Sharpes and his Prince O3 Speedport Black racquet battled for 55 minutes to overcome the other 3/4 seed James Earles in the final.
Prince player Emily Whitlock - aged just 14 - boasted a sensational run in the Women's Under 17 event where she finished as runner-up from a 9/16 seeding.
In the women's U19 championship in Brussels, 18-year-old Sarah-Jane Perry - using a Prince O3 Black racquet - beat France's Emilie Lamilongo to add the Belgian title to the Nordic Junior U19 Open crown she won two months ago.
"I am delighted to see the progress of our junior players at the elite level," said Prince Global Tour Manager Peter Nicol. "Especially noteworthy is the achievement of Emily Whitlock, who was at least two years younger than most of her opponents in the British U17 championship and showed tremendous potential. Our juniors are a real credit to the brand."
