Summer in Shanghai !
Following the success of the debut 2005 show and hot on the heels of a much expanded March ispo china comes the announcement that ispo will be hosting a new exhibition this August in Shanghai.
The first ispo china summer will take place in the Shanghai New International Expo Center from August 21 to 24, 2006. Originally plans were announced to hold the Outdoor Sports Order Show in Hangzhou, however, the organisers have decided on a more comprehensive and more wide-ranging trade fair platform. Manfred Wutzlhofer, Chief Executive Officer of Messe München GmbH, stated: "Further discussions with our exhibitors showed us that they prefer a professional and comprehensive trade fair platform to an order show. Exhibitors especially consider our key account program and measures for visitor acquisitions, with which we reach retailers throughout all of Asia, as important factors for successful trade fair exhibitions. In addition, they value the supporting program from sports events to seminars and forums all the way to fashion shows plus the internationalism, effective communication and media attention, which our trade fairs provide. Most of the companies are already familiar with the trade fair grounds in Shanghai, which has an excellent infrastructure and links to international transport network. In addition, we as organizers can guarantee customary competent organization."
After announcing the Outdoor Sports Order Show, it became clear that other industry sectors wanted a platform for summer. Now several offer areas will be covered with ispo china summer 06. Outdoor is still a key feature, but now Sportswear, Fabric & Fibers, Boardsports, Fitness & Wellness, Racket, Golf and Team Sports will all be part of the ispo event mix. ispo china winter 07 in March 2007 will be more strongly oriented to the winter sports segment.
In conjunction with the industry, the organisers are currently investigating alternative sites and concepts for ispo china winter 07. Both events are designed as pure trade fairs with a clear focus on retailers and their needs and interests and are continuations of the Munich ispo formula. Organizers expect increasing numbers of exhibitors and visitors at ispo china winter 06, which will take place in the Shanghai New International Expo Center from March 13 to 16, 2006. The exhibition area has already grown to 20,000 sq.m.
