Bright future for British Tennis Tour

Tropicana, the UK’s favourite orange juice, has been named title sponsor of the British Tennis Tour for the next three years, creating the Tropicana British Tour.

The tour is a year long series of events, numbering 20 in total, played throughout Britain. The events offer a platform for players making the jump from the junior to senior game, and provide internationally ranked players with crucial match practice in the build up to tournaments on the world tour. All of the events are designed and scheduled to compliment the international calendar. This year sees the introduction of a Masters event to be held at the end of the calendar year. Players who reach the quarter-finals, or further, at any of the 20 tournaments will be allocated points. The top 24 men and women will be invited to compete in the prestigious Tropicana Masters Tournament held on 4 December.

As well as title sponsorship of the British Tour, Tropicana will be the official soft drink of the veterans’ national tennis championships that are managed through Veterans Tennis GB. John Feaver, LTA Sponsorship Director said: "The British Tour is an important stepping stone on a player’s journey to the international game and with Tropicana’s support we hope the events will provide our players with a springboard to international success."
