Anatom has announced it will be supporting the new Martin Currie Rob Roy Challenge event in June this year.

The charity event, held in Scotland, will cover 55 miles of the spectacular Rob Roy Way and aims to raise funds in the region of £250,000. Teams will begin the challenge by walking from Drymen, near Lock Lomond to Callander, where they will switch to bikes for a 39 mile cycle ride to Kenmore.

Each participant will be supplied, courtesy of Anatom, with a pair of Smartwool socks. It is estimated that 500 participants will take part in the 12 hour event. Within the Anatom package, participants will also receive a special Superfeet voucher enabling them to purchase a pair of technical foot beds at a discount from their local outdoor retailer.

Commenting, Gordon Fraser, Anatom’s managing director said, “We are very pleased to be supporting such a worthy challenge with Smartwool and Superfeet, where three very deserving charities will benefit. The correct sock choice is important for maintaining maximum comfort and foot health in such an event.

This is a true test of our performance sock range.” All money raised from the event will support three charities: Cancer Research UK; Habitat for Humanity; and Children’s Hospice Association, Scotland.
