Nike names Roger Wyett Vice President of Global Apparel
Roger Wyett, 49, President and Chief Operating Officer of the Nike’s Hurley International brand, has been named Vice President of the Nike brand’s approximately $4 billion global apparel business.
Wyett replaces Mindy Grossman, who has resigned to become CEO of Retailing at IAC/InterActiveCorp (Nasdaq:IACI).Wyett will report to Nike brand President Charlie Denson. Wyett brings more than 25 years of experience in the apparel industry, including seven years at Nike.Wyett first joined Nike in 1994 and held a number of key senior
apparel roles in soccer and Nike Team Sports before leading Global Product Creation. Prior to joining Nike he worked in the apparel industry in Los Angeles for 14 years, including five years at Puma USA. In 2000,Wyett joined the Walt Disney Company, where he was Senior Vice President for Global Apparel,Accessories and Footwear,
and later promoted to Executive Vice President for Global Sales and Marketing for Consumer Products.Wyett returned to NIKE, Inc. in April 2005 as President and Chief Operating Officer of Hurley International LLC, the company’s action sports and youth lifestyle brand based in southern California.
