Consumers choice is Bite
Bite, the unique technical sandals that have the ability to accept an orthotic footbed such as Superfeet have been voted “Best In Test” by the UK’s biggest selling outdoor magazine, Country Walking.
Bite’s combination of comfort and performance proved a winning combination, beating off competition from brands such as Keen, Merrell and Teva, to come out on top, gaining a score of 19/20 and having a 5 star rating. Tester Tom Hutton comments, “These felt great from the word go and with a little fine tuning became the most stable and secure sandals I’ve ever worn.”
The Xtension 2 was the winning sandal and features a specialised pulley system that locks the critical ball, heel and ankle in place ensuring the foot stays stable throughout any activity. Having the ability to accept an orthotic insole, like Superfeet, allows a good foundation to be placed under your feet therefore, reducing over pronation (the movement when the foot rolls inwardly) decreasing the amount of stress placed on the body, which causes pain.
The June issue which was published earlier this month, carried the gear test result and is destined to generate a huge amount of consumer appeal. In order to help retailers maximise on the news, Bite has a perspex PoS shelf unit that is used on slotwalls which says “Bite - Equip your feet” in addition, there is also a free standing bare foot display that holds six styles.
