WILSON STRETCHES STRINGS AT WIMBLEDON
Wilson has joined forces with a leading monofilament string company Luxilon Sports to serve as the exclusive world-wide distributor for Luxilon monofilament strings (tennis, badminton and squash). As a result of this and to further improve their service to ATP and WTA tour players, Wilson has set up a dedicated stringing house near Wimbledon with six machines and stringers in operation. The stringing house was an integral part of The Championships not only for the Wilson contracted players, but also for all those players using the popular Luxilon strings. Each player is assigned their own personal stringer to ensure that consistent levels of stringing are maintained to the high standard that the players require. Ron Rocchi, Principal Designer and Global Tour Equipment Manager commented: “Wilson has similar stringing set ups at all four Grand Slams and we will be the official stringers on site at this year’s US Open for the first time.”
