Interim managing director for brasher
Brasher has announced the appointment of David Kennedy as interim managing director until a permanent appointment is made.
Having worked as finance director at Berghaus for the last 12 years, and in the same role for brasher since 2002, he has extensive knowledge of the outdoor industry and will take over from Richard Cotter, who will focus on his role as brand president of Berghaus.
Commenting on his appointment, Kennedy told SGB Outdoor, "My main focus will be to ensure we continue to deliver our financial performance and maintain the emphasis on the goals we had previously set. In addition, it made sense for Richard to focus on his role in Berghaus to ensure we don’t loose our own focus. Separating the two roles also means that we can provide a focal point for our team."
Kennedy explained that whilst he had a broad experience in management, his background was financial. "Having said that," he continued, "I am more than capable and happy to stay in the role of MD for as long as required and am looking forward to the challenge."
