The Outdoor Trade Show will be opening its doors in a few days time and since the exhibition space is sold out it promises to yield an interesting event for the trade...

OTS is a complete sell out with 46 exhibitors showing a diverse range of brands and products - from footwear to clothing and compasses to rucksacks,. In essence the event promises to have a wide range of products that will be of interest to all retailers.

Some exhibitors at OTS are using the show as a platform for launching new 2007 products with brand new styles and designs. While exhibitors such as Hannah Outdoor and Alco have never been seen in the UK before.

The event, initially created by six of the industry’s big players who saw a gap in the trade show calendar following the departure of the Go Outdoors Autumn event. And whilst in some camps OTS will be seen as fairly controversial leading to a disparate trade. It perhaps goes without saying that no matter what the opinions, OTS visitors will be able to view numerous products including – footwear, rucksacs, technical clothing, navigation equipment and children’s specific items.

Of the many companies attending, Whitby & Co will be exhibiting at OTS with all of its leading brands incorporating a number of innovative new products such as Nite Ize LED upgrade’s, Inova LED torches and the extremely novel Flash Flight LED Discs. Other classic and very popular brands will also be on display including Princeton Tec, LUGER and Wenger. The company will also be highlighting the new Leatherman pink Squirt which offers the convenience of a full size personal care tool in one handy package. The Leatherman pink Squirt multitool is the new ‘must have’ accessory for all women this season.

Other exhibitors, include, Hi Gear, who has a great deal to talk about following the company’s tremendously successful re-branding launch earlier this year. Hi Gear will be displaying the complete new range of outdoor products as well as popular re-packaged classics. In fact, Hi Gear is currently taking the outdoor industry by storm with its fantastic new look and re-positioning making this a stand not to be missed.

The company will also be showing highlights from the Serious Winterwear collection which also has a great deal to talk about for the forthcoming season. This extensive collection of top quality winter accessories includes gloves, headwear, goggles/ sunglasses and other essential winter items such as hand warmers, board and ski bags and hydration systems. All these exciting and innovative products will be available for viewing on stand 80.

With such an array of exhibitors with diverse product portfolios , the event is certain to have something of to interest everyone. At the time of writing the organisers also confirmed there had already been 150 visitor registrations online, highlighting that the trade was certainly looking to support the event. And of course, SGB Outdoor, your monthly trade magazine will be in attendance, we look forward to hearing your opinions on the event. Plus, of course will be reporting on which products are likely to make you a profit in the coming months.
