Fischer: New team for alpine sports

The Austrian sports supplier Fischer (Ried im Innkreis) has changed its personnel in the alpine sports division. The reasons are the combination of marketing and sales, the strengthening of the sector freeski and the departures of Stefan Rosenkranz and Gerald Palm.

The leaving of general manager Stefan Rosenkranz, who left the company after seven years, replacing Alex Koska (new boss of Fjällräven Germany) as general manager Salewa Germany, triggered the changes in personnel. Fischer replaced all positions in the alpine sector with own employees: The previous racing manager Gerhard Leitner (40), who started at the company in 2002, is now general manager Alpine. Daniel Steiniger (30), responsible for the sales since 1999, takes over the functions of the marketing director Gerald Palm (38), who will leave the company after eight years at the end of May. Fischer profits of this situation to combine marketing and sales more closely with Steiniger. Moreover, Daniel Tanzer (22), who developed so far the ski models, is promoted to the product manager Freeski.

OutDoor: New Management

Messe Friedrichshafen has restructured its management. Klaus Wellmann will now be the only general manager with Stefan Reisinger taking on the role of OutDoorproject manager.

The long-term general manager Rolf Mohne retired in April, his co-general manager Jürgen Schmid left the team at the beginning of the year, because his contract was not renewed. So the Ex-Ifma-Manager Klaus Wellmann is now the exclusive boss of the fair, supported by an enlarged board. The new management consists of the present division managers Ludwig Meier (marketing), Roland Bosch (new business), Stefan Keller (technology), Wolfgang Köhle (press) and the project managers Dirk Kreidenweiß (Interboot) and Stefan Reisinger (Eurobike, OutDoor).

Adriano Zuccala: New boss for Vibra

Sole-specialist Vibram has a new CEO: Adriano Zuccala replaces Ambrogio Merlo, who left the company after four years. The 52-year-old operated before especially in the optics industry, among others 20 years for the Pirelli-group.

K2 separates from Jette Joop

K2 (Penzberg/Germany) and Jette Joop (Hamburg) will terminate their cooperation “on mutual agreement” at the of September after six years. Rainer Zink, who was promoted by K2 from the Division Manager Footwear to the Europe-wide Jette Division Manager, abides by the designer brand.

The original idea to market sports stronger together with fashion, could be realised only partly. The starting with Jette-footwear (including inline skates) was relatively successful in the sporting goods retail, but the business with the shoe specialised retail (and also with accessories) was better and better. Therefore the time had come for K2-Europe-President John Rangel, who will concentrate furthermore on the sports market, to end the cooperation, in order to “give Jette Joop the possibility to position in the fashion sector with a competent partner”. In the future, Rainer Zink will direct as head of shoe division the footwear segment at the new license partner.
