Over at Kookaburra, the L-Bow design has been joined by the L-Bow Extreme concept.Whilst the L-Bow places the optimum point of the shaft at a point low down on the stick, the L-Bow Extreme enhances this principal through the introduction of a more prominent 24.99mm bow, which retains compliance with FIH legislation.
The brand’s three leading models in the L-Bow collection feature not only the L-Bow Extreme feature but also the new Kookaburra Skill Zone. The Skill Zone is defined by a concave face on the head of the stick, which assists with ball control.
The ‘Phoenix’, at SSP £200, is its flagship L-Bow stick; the ‘Ultralite’, at SSP £150, is up to 4oz lighter than traditional constructions allowing swift hand and stick speed; and the ‘Stinger’, at SSP £110, completes the series boasting the LBow Extreme shaft and the Kookaburra Skill Zone. Also available with the conventional L-Bow shaft shape is: the ‘Flame’, in a vibrant red colour way, at SSP £90 and the ‘Marine’, in a striking blue green, at SSP £75.
The M-Bow series, has a more conventionally located bow in the mid point of the shaft, are priced from SSP £30 to £200. The ‘Dragon’ at SSP £200 not only features the Kookaburra Skill Zone but also a Precision Edge to assist with backhanded hitting. The M-Bow ‘Ultralite’ includes the same two performance-enhancing features to its already unique construction at an SSP of £150.
Also available with the conventional M-Bow shaft shape are the ‘Cuba’ at SSP £125; the ‘Blizzard’ at SSP £100,with its cool white graphics; the ‘Pacific’ at SSP £75; the ‘Flamingo’ at SSP £60; the ‘Abyss’ at SSP £50; and the ‘Gecko’ at SSP £40.
