In time for summer
The North Face has announced substantial enhancements and redesigns to its company website,www.thenorthface.com/eu. Just in time for summer, the updated site sizzles with new features, intuitive navigation and bold graphics.
The Gear Shop section of the site was launched in French for the first time in February. Product descriptions, sizing and specifications, as well as features and technologies have all been translated into French for all products starting with the Spring 07 Collection. In the coming seasons, the Gear Shop will also become available in German, Spanish and Italian. Browsers of any language can take advantage of the easy-to-use, new product zoom and expanded key technical highlights.
In May, The North Face launched the redesigned Expedition area of its website. Viewers can now track the progress of The North Face athletes on the Featured Expedition, and can read the bios of expedition team members, research their gear and check out a frequently updated photo gallery. Information about past expeditions is also available within this section. And, later this month, viewers can enjoy the updated Athletes section of the website, with bios, career highlights and photos of the worldwide athletes sponsored by The North Face.
Also launching in June is the new Store Locator feature, created to match the recent surge of new The North Face retail stores across the globe. This new website feature will include images of the top 10 retail stores, and will allow viewers to search for stores anywhere in the world.Viewers can search by country or city name, and can decide to search for only dedicated The North Face retail locations and/or authorized retail dealers.Once a store is selected, the Store Locator feature provides shop hours, directions and maps from Google Maps. The Store Locator also highlights the Featured Store, usually the most-recently opened location or a shop offering a special promotion,with store-opening images and informational press releases.
