Stars on the road again
Wayfayrer Foods will be used this summer by film star Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman throughout their motorbike expedition, ‘Long Way Down’.
After being used on the duo’s first adventure around the world,“Long Way Round”, the team were keen to use the 100% real food meals again for their three-month trip from Scotland to Africa.
Travelling solely on motorbikes Ewan and the team will be taking advantage of Wayfayrer’s range of breakfasts, main meals and desserts which are all stacked full of proteins and carbohydrates to keep energy levels high for hours.
Although they will be miles away from home the team will be able to enjoy traditional dishes such as beef stew and dumplings and chicken casserole along with sweet treats such as chocolate and treacle pudding.As all Wayfayrer meals are made from 100% real food, they can be eaten hot or cold, to eat the meals hot the team will simply have to place the easy to carry robust foil pouches in hot water for 7-8 minutes.
From John O’Groats to Cape Town,Wayfayrer will be the team’s source of nutrition throughout their journey through some of the world’s most remote and isolated places.Having a tasty meal at the end of a long day on the road will not only help the team to re-fuel but also keep morale high.
