The Molten ACENTEC Vantaggio football has been selected by Canterbury City Football Club as its exclusive match ball for all home games, it was announced this month.

The newly formed club, which was recently accepted into the British Energy Kent County Football League, has chosen to follow the lead of the Kent Football League in opting for the Molten ACENTEC Vantaggio as its official ball. The club is to play with the ball in its inaugural match in September at its playing field at Bridge, near Canterbury.

Commented Phil Knight, chairman of Canterbury City FC. “The club is pleased to confirm that Molten will supply the ACENTEC Vantaggio as its match ball for the coming season. I only hope our play can be as stylish as our match ball!”

Bob Hope, chairman of Molten Sports, added: “I am delighted Canterbury City FC has chosen the Molten ACENTEC Vantaggio soccer ball as its official match ball. It is a great choice as they relaunch what. I have no doubt will be a highly successful club.

“What makes this FIFA Approved ball special is Molten’s unique ACENTEC manufacturing technology, which uses a special cross-fusion bonding technique. This makes for a rounder and smoother ball. Further, the absence of hand stitching means that the ball does not absorb water and, therefore, does not increase in weight in wet weather. It affords players far greater control than other balls and is probably the best football in the world. In fact, it is, arguably, better than the ball with which the clubs in the Premier Division currently play.”
