The Pocket Tool can be useful for first aid, food preparation, cutting rope and making minor repairs, when used effectively. All the equipment required for a DofE expedition is intended to ensure the safety and comfort of the participants.
The Pocket Tool has a specially rounded blunt ended blade and a bespoke selection of tools; scissors, can opener with cap lifter, wire cutter, wire stripper and screwdriver end, Phillips screwdriver, multipurpose hook, key ring, tweezers and toothpick.
The Pocket Tool will be subject to the same strict rules of purchase as penknives and only be able to be purchased by people over 18.
