Ronhill is a name synonymous with good quality running gear. They aim to continually improve and enhance the protection of runners - the Vizion collection was specifically designed to help runners and athletes be seen by other road users which includes their LED technology (of which I'm a big fan!).
For those out running in all weather conditions Ronhill have sourced and developed new fabrics that provide superior performance. New for this season the Advance and Aspiration collections tackle exposure to the sun - UV protection comes from the tightness of the weave of the fabrics and additionally from the colour. Ronhill have integrated excellent levels of ultraviolet protection into selected items of running apparel without sacrificing high wicking performance and breathability. The end product remains lightweight and comfortable to the individual.
Fabrics are rated using the Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) rating system: this is scored from 15 to 50+. The higher the UPF score, the higher the protection. New UltraWick and the popular Powerlite are rated UPF 50, which means less than 2.5% penetration of the UVR reaches the skin; these products feature a sun protection swing ticket to aid consumer awareness.
