Cumbrian outdoor business granted 'academy provider' status
A Cumbria-based outdoor activities business has been awarded Academy Provider status by the National Skills Academy for Sport and Active Leisure. As Academy Provider, JEM Training will play an important role in delivering the skills required by the outdoor sector.
Through the Skills Academy, JEM Training will deliver programmes to individuals who are employed, self employed or volunteers. Qualifications include Mountain Leader Training awards, British Canoe Union Awards and Royal Yachting Association Safety Boat Awards. In addition, they will offer courses on Outdoor First Aid and the IOL's (Institute for Outdoor Learning) Facilitation Skills.
